1. About these terms
Venues2U is operated by JLME LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17445352, with its registered office at 27 Cranleigh Close, South Croydon, England, CR2 9LH("Venues2U", "we", "us" or "our").
These terms apply when a customer uses our websites, mobile applications, Henry concierge, search, messaging, enquiry or booking services. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, Payments Policy and Content & Acceptable Use Policy also apply.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. Some venues, spaces, activities or events have higher or additional age restrictions. You must comply with the restriction shown in the listing or communicated by the venue.
2. How Venues2U works
Venues2U provides a marketplace and booking service. We help customers discover and compare venues, send enquiries, communicate with venues and, where enabled, book and pay online. Unless we expressly say otherwise, we do not own, operate or control a venue.
Verified listings and wider discovery
A listing marked as verified or available to book through Venues2U has been supplied or claimed by a venue partner and has passed the checks described in our Venue Verification Policy. Henry or search may also suggest venue information obtained from public websites or integration partners. These wider-discovery suggestions are leads, not endorsements or confirmed offers: their price, availability, facilities and terms must be confirmed with the venue before a booking exists.
Henry concierge
Henry is an AI-assisted concierge. It can collect requirements, explain options and rank or compare possible venues, but it may misunderstand a request or use information that has changed. Check important details before relying on a recommendation. Henry cannot vary a venue's terms, guarantee availability or make a binding promise on a venue's behalf.
3. Bookings and venue contracts
When a venue accepts your booking, the contract for the venue, space, package and related services is between you and that venue partner. Venues2U is not a party to that venue-service contract, although we may facilitate confirmation, payment, messaging, support and refunds.
Before paying, check the venue or space, date and time, guest numbers, included services, price, deposit, final-payment date, house rules, age or licensing restrictions and the venue's cancellation terms. A request, enquiry or temporary payment hold is not a confirmed booking. Confirmation occurs only when the service identifies the booking as confirmed.
Availability shown in search may change before confirmation. Venues must honour confirmed bookings, but may reject or propose changes to an enquiry before it is confirmed.
4. Prices, fees and payments
The checkout will show the venue price, taxes where applicable, any customer booking fee, any concierge fee, the amount due now and any later balance before you pay. Current fee rates may vary by booking and will be disclosed at checkout rather than assumed from older marketing or policy material.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. We do not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes. A payment may be refused, delayed or reviewed for fraud, security, legal or provider-compliance reasons.
Where a venue permits a deposit, the checkout and confirmation will show the deposit and the final-payment deadline. You authorise the payment arrangements you select. A reminder is a convenience only; you remain responsible for paying on time even if a reminder is not received.
5. Changes, cancellations and refunds
Venue-specific cancellation and deposit terms are shown before payment and form part of your booking. They may be refundable, partially refundable or non-refundable, subject always to applicable law and the requirement that cancellation charges are fair and reflect the relevant circumstances. See our Refunds & Cancellation Policy for the full process.
If a venue cancels and cannot provide an agreed suitable alternative, you will receive a full refund of amounts paid for the cancelled booking, including customer-facing platform fees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate account, event, guest, age and payment information;
- keep your account secure and tell us promptly about unauthorised use;
- follow venue rules, licensing restrictions, capacity limits and lawful staff instructions;
- not misuse search, Henry, messaging, reviews, payments or support;
- not bypass Venues2U to avoid agreed fees after being introduced through the service; and
- remain responsible for your guests where the venue terms or law make you responsible.
7. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under consumer law.
Venues are responsible for the safety, legality, description and delivery of their venue services. We are responsible for providing the Venues2U platform with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses caused by a venue's acts or omissions, information from an unclaimed public source, your breach of venue rules, or events outside our reasonable control, except to the extent the loss is caused by our own breach or the law says otherwise.
We do not exclude liability for losses that were reasonably foreseeable when you entered the relevant contract and arose from our breach. We are not responsible for business losses suffered by a consumer using the service wholly or mainly for personal purposes.
8. Suspension, changes, complaints and law
We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us.
We may update these terms for legal, security, product or business reasons. Material changes will be communicated where required and will not retrospectively remove accrued rights.
Contact [email protected] with a complaint. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the part of the United Kingdom where you live.
